ASH WEDNESDAY

Today is Ash Wednesday which marks the start of Lent which is the fourty day period leading up to the great feast of Easter and is observed by Catholics as a day of fast and abstaining from eating meet (Good Friday being a similar day).

It's also a day marked by the distribution of ashes and a day of prayer for peace in Ukraine.

We pray for all involved in this conflict.
